Default Konami is sacking Hideo Kojima, and looks like they're getting out of video games

I know there's already been some chatter in Retro about this, but it's big news:
    http://www.gamespot.com/articles/koj.../1100-6426024/

It seems Konami has reevaluated the value of making video games. An unlike Nintendo's decision to jump onto cell phones, they're just rolling up AAA development. Because they're apparently happy enough making profit from pachinko and Yugioh cards.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

Kojima will still easily find work, so you can still have more pretentious, up its own ass games about cyborg ninjas rocket launcher fighting with giant robots... it just won't be named Metal Gear.

Yeah, that statement just reworded the few details that have been officially released. Kojima and the MGS5 development staff aren't on the street yet. They've been reclassified as contract workers, not Konami employees, and their contract runs up once MGS5 is finished.

There apparently WILL still be Metal Gear games, though: http://www.gamespot.com/videos/gs-ne.../2300-6424013/

I honestly see any without him as being crappy And I kind of agree with CM.
