Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective crashing in Kega Fusion
When I play the ISO for Sherlock Holmes: Consulting Detective in Kega Fusion 3.64 (or the .cue, to be specific, technically there is no ISO, just a bin and cue), it constantly crashes once it gets past the Licensed By SEGA screen with Sonic and the sparkly logo. Then, it just goes back to the Checking Disc screen over and over again. I think there's a problem with the dump, as I can play other games fine.

Older than you think
iso is a general term and does not refer to the exact format so any disc image can be called an iso
Try the previous version of Kega the latest one has bugs with a some CD games that does what you have descibed

Switching to 3.63 did not help, I get the same bug.

About to go to bed but will check my copy tomorrow that should be a good copy.
Extracting the US copy of the game in ISO+Wav+Cue format
Does not work in Kega Fusion (could play with some settings but initial test resulted in not working), but I also tested Gens while I was at it and that does boot the game fine
