Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded... game or movie?

Ok so yesterday I got KH 2.5 Remix for the Playstation 3 and started up Re:Coded and within the first 10 minutes of watching all I could ask myself was is there going to be any part of this game where i could actually control sora and do some actual gaming? or do i have to just sit here and watch the whole thing till it stops playing???

Was this done intentionally?

and if so? What was the point?

For the DS Kingdom Hearts games on the PS3 compilations there is no gameplay, they are just movies, better whip out that ol DS/DS Lite
