I was just waiting when someone will mention the notorious Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex for PS2. It definitely got the longest load time ever for a Crash game, closely tied with Crash Nitro Kart. The game itself is very interesting, but it's also very criticized.

It's very similar to Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, another game series downfall.

Yep I enjoyed the game as a kid as it was one of the first games on got on ps2, i was so excited for a new crash game in all its ps2 glory and it looked good and played good but the load times, making a kid wait 5 minutes is torture lol i think i played nitro carts(first of the racing crash games on ps2 right?) but i don't remember the load times so I'm not sure. Oh how i yurn for a crash reboot that is new and improved in its own ways but stays true to its much more amazing and fun earliest 3 games. seen some crash of the titans game play and i feel they were going for a ratchet and clank or jak feel and that's not Crash at all.

I really hope that they do. Let's just hope they don't decide to do what Vivendi did to both franchises

I really like Crash Nitro Kart on the PS2. It even has a anti-gravity system similar to Mario Kart 8, but on Nitro Kart this mechanic is underused.

I know I shouldn't have dug up a dead thread, but......
They DID in fact reboot and bring back BOTH Spyro and Crash.
Sadly, but in a smart decision, the respective franchises decided to cut their losses (which I can't really put as logical, seeing as I liked Crash of the Titans, Crash - Mind over Mutant, and The Legend of Spyro Trilogy. Then again, all customers aren't me.) when the sales were declining. Nostalgia isn't all it's cracked up to be, but it's nice to reminisce.

I also put Crash Bandicoot - Wrath of Cortex as my favorite.

I'd say Crash Bandicoot 3 is one of the best.

Ok not really. I'd say Crash Bandicoot 3 probably.

I actually prefer 2 over 3, however 3 started the usual theme song (just like how ever since Sonic 3, the "level clear" jingle has been standard); 2 had more Bonus areas and whatnot.
Crash 1 was, and still is, the hardest, over the limited amount of saves and gem collection (no deaths).
CTR will always be a favorite due to various reasons (Multi-Tapped battle arenas!!!).
Bash was hit-or-miss, especially since NaughtyDog gave the series to Universal. For some odd reason, why wasn't the items and boss clears not 0.5%? Game maxed out at 200%!!!
Wrath of Cortex was the only good 6th-gen game, but only loaded as an ISO, not retail (LOADING...).

I have to say that Crash Bandicoot 2 has more nostalgia for me than Crash Bandicoot 3. CB2 was the first Playstation game I ever played, and it holds more memories for me. I will say that CB3 is a lot better in terms of the different moves that Crash can pull off and adding the Bazooka as a weapon he can use is pretty awesome, but CB2 just has something for me that CB3 doesn't although I can't really explain it.
