Does anyone have just the patch? Like, not the patched ISO. I'd rather patch the game myself. Thanks in advance.

Sorry but most PS2 undubs have no patches, only patches for Tales of the Abyss are for fixing skit voices and fixing the subtitles in the ending anime scene.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.
Really? That's a shame. I tried burning the patched ISO to a disc and while it worked it took forever to load. I thought patching the ISO myself would fix things.
That is strange, were you using top quality blank DVDs like verbatim and burning at the slowest speed possible?

I used Memorex and I'm pretty sure I did the slowest speed I could. I use InfraRecord for this kind of stuff.
OK those are pretty crappy blank media, really kills the laser, buy some verbatim DVD+rs off of newegg and use imgburn to burn the iso.

Verbatim or Sony definitely.
You really have to be careful about brands because you can get different manufacturer discs from the same brand. Not all Verbatims are actually good quality: some are CMC. Some of the Memorex are Ritek and are actually better than Verbatims that are CMC manufacture.
Spoiler warning:
