Question MediEvil 2 PS1 soundtrack errors? [Android]

I'm playing the USA version of MediEvil 2 for the PS1 on Android using RetroArch's 'PCSX ReARMed [Neon]' emulator.

The game plays fine, but there is some error with the background music. I frequently hear a track from another level (e.g. "Freakshow" level music in the "Kensington" level), and i don't likey. What could be causing this? I have every PS1 BIOS file stored in a single folder, and the emulator gives no BIOS errors. I played the European version to compare the two, and it had the same issues.

I renamed the tracks after downloading them, and wonder if this might be causing any problems? I want to try a different emulator, but the ePSXe emu on the Google Play store is about $3.50.. not sure i want to drop the money if it's gonna present the same problems :/

The problem is purely with the emulator, renaming the tracks is fine if all the tracks are still playing, though that game only has one audio track and if that is used for BGM then it will be indexed via the software on the disc, that if not emulated correctly would play the parts of the single track at the wrong times, not sure if that emulator has plugin options but if it does look at both the CD plugin and the Sound plugins and options for both, tinker with those and see if you can fix the issue

P.S. there are no perfect PSX emulators, there are not even perfect PSX emulators for PC never mind Android based ones
