    Default av2hdmi converter help.

    Hello world,

I have this monitor http://www.cnet.com/products/lg-w248...itor-24/specs/ if I buy this thing http://www.amazon.com/Generic-AV2HDM.../dp/B00ENH847W would these consoles xbox classic, ps1, ps2, gamecube(and maybe even older ones, super nintendo, sega genesis, etc.) work on my monitor? And if it they do work what kind of quality can I expect, color wise, stretching wise?
And is it 100% guaranteed that they will work?! Because I can eighter afford(barely) to buy that converter or an old crappy crt tv, I canno't afford both.

    Thank you.

I don't like the looks of that "converter". It looks too cheap, as though it is crap from china. I suggest finding one that has a "brand name" even if it a little more money.
That or just wait until you find a CRT. They are thrown out everyday on the side of the street and will be free.

I know it's a cheap one and indeed it is made in china, I can't afford anything better atm. So, assuming that little thing does what it's supposed to do, answer my questions above please?
I've watched some videos of it in action on youtube, and the results seem quite nice, but will it work with my monitor, and will it work with those consoles?

I would keep an eye out for a large crt tv myself, in particular one that is 720p/1080i capable. It may not have hdmi but will have component and probably s-video...some have DVI.

I have a 32" Sony Trinitron which runs perfectly to this day, although it isn't HD capable...I have a full HD led tv anyway.
Yeah you can get old crt tv's for nothing and in the case of the one I have, it was a premium unit back when it was new. So look for something like that and you won't be disappointed.

I would rather avoid getting a tv if at all possible. The guy I was hoping to get it from won't sell me the mini hdmi converter within my budget anyway....
So what about this, would it work, I've found some second hand ones in my budget range. http://www.amazon.com/Composite-S-Vi.../dp/B003NUN7DG

Free is free, but whatever. You can't beat a quality crt for reliability.

K, so I finally got my console and that converter today. Things seem to go well except for one problem, I get an annoying fuzzy/flashy green border on the bottom of the screen. I haven't played a game on it yet(will burn some tomorrow) so I don't know if this problem will persist or if it's just because of the freemcboot dashboard. But if it does persist, does anyone have any idea how to fix it?
    Thank you.
