And don't forget that we had extra player after 40th minute. I still don't get it why Song did that, it was very stupid and unnecessarily. Anyway, we are looking forward for the next match against Mexico, that will be a hard one. GO CROATIA!!!

I know, he's on Bayern after all. I was just making a stupid joke.

I can see why some players, like Xavi, with limited physical aptitude refused to bury it since it doesn't require a lot of physical effort to practice it, but once it's clear that it became ineffective, that everyone and their moms can counteract it without major effort, it's time to sign it's death certificate. And I'm glad of it, you all know how much I hate it and how boring I think it is. But I have the feeling that it won't be so easy to get rid of it...

So yeah, if Xavi wants to be buried with it, I'm fine with it!

Hall of Shame of the WC 2014:

    Spoiler warning:

    - Japanese referee (Brazil-Croatia)
    - Spain x2
    - Uruguay
    - Maxi Pereira
    - Akinfeev
    - Cameroon players: Song, Assou-Ekotto.
The good news is you guys have plenty of young talent to select from. Guys that probably should have made this team if tiki-taka wasn't still being forced.

    Good call adding the Cameroonians.

@Ghost: Yeah Colombia looked pretty good today. I do think Ivory Coast will be the 2nd place team in that group.

Edit: Say what you will about Suarez making spotty decisions at times but he is a truly great competitor. He could barely even freaking move on his 2nd goal. Almost fell down, dragging one leg. No problem guys I got this. #1leg2goals

The couple Suarez-Cavani is probably the best in this WC. There isn't a couple of strikers like them.

Anyway, Spanish referee should have sent Godin off in the first half. Can't believe he didn't. That would have changed everything.

All in all, another undeserved defeat for England :/ I can't say I'm the biggest fan of Hodgson but I don't think the gods of footie are being fair with this young England. Perhaps with the same players and better manager, things would have been different...

Godin definitely should have been sent off. Don't even think it can really be argued.

OMG Costa Rica, another shock for the whole football nation! This is a perfect example that we should never underestimate "weak" teams. If my country fails (I hope it won't), my heart will go for Costa Rica. GO TICOS!!!

It's a shame that Germany v France if it happens looks like it will be a quarterfinal.

They seem to be the most solid teams from what we've seen so far.

Yeah. I'm cautious though. I do think Portugal is mostly terrible. Hopefully Germany backs it up with another solid outing. This has been a wild WC so far.

They have Ghana next right? They should win that, and I give the US zero chance against Germany.

US beat Germany recently. Ghana are a decent side we will see.

Messi and the referee (surprise, surprise!) saved Argentina in extremis.

For a moment I though Queiroz would do something worth of mention in his life
