Luiz's free kick was very nice but Ospina was poor on it.

And yeah poor Neymar. Zuniga shouldn't have even been on the field but this ref was so dang poor.

And the other semi was set as expected. Belgium's lack of experience was a ballast for them (Wilmots did a weird move sending Hazard to the bench so soon..) and Costa Rica did what they could to resist the Dutch avalanche, but it wasn't enough. (Van Gaal's decision changing the goalies to take care of the penalties was crucial, kudos for him. That's very common in handball, but I've never seen it in football before).

And Robben, as expected as well. Superb.

Yeah I've never seen it before.

Is it just me or does this feel like a weak/weird WC? Like all the favourites are through but all of them feel like really flawed teams. Idk maybe I'm over thinking it.

It feels like at this point any of the teams could really win it. I am predicting a Germany Netherlands final, but we see how my predictions went this round...

They are flawed because they aren't playing the way they are used to play/how they historically play.
Brazil has sacrificed their attractive way of playing and their traditional skilled players to introduce a crowded defensive system that even resorts to man marking the rival's top player.
Argentina gives everything and everyone in to Messi. They strategy is praying for him to do something.
Holland plays with a line of 5 defenders (3 central defenders).
Germany tries to get good results by controlling the game instead of brute forcing the rival's defensive system.

I can see why no one really feels comfortable

As for your predictions, I'd love it if that happened. But I would be very surprised if the final weren't Brazil-Argentina. Because FIFA.

It's not only legal, by the look of their faces it's also fun

Words can not describe the moment we've lived today. In all my years I haven't seen something like this. Historic.

Is it just me, or did reality just tear at the seams a little?

Germany just made me care about soccer.

They have done two impossible things today.

Hmm, I didn't notice they observing a minute silence in yesterday's match to remember Di Stéfano passing out a couple of days ago. Legendary footballer who made history in Real Madrid, one of the 4 greatest (the best for France Football) and considered the first modern footballer. Absolutely shameful, FIFA.

    RIP, Don Alfredo.

As a slavic, I find it pitiful that Russia has done so poorly this year. Yet, thanks to their "President" with his alternate agenda and focus on slavic-centric war/unrest, Ukraine did not participate this year. Figures.

Terrible match yesterday. No one really wanted to play anything, too scared to accept some risks. too fatigued and too conditioned by what Germany did hours ago. And again, irrelevant Messi.

Capello said something like that when they got eliminated. I don't applaud FIFA's machinations and dirty works, but if there were any connection between Putin's war games and Russia's early KO in the tournament, I certainly won't cry.
