Default SSF and Dragon Force Help!

Have been trying to get Dragon Force to run through SSF without much luck...

I'm currently operating through an SSF v0.12. I've gotten the system to recognize the game disk via Virtual Clone Drive, but now whenever I click "Start application" it just seems to reset and I'm back at the same screen after a few seconds.

I've tried all the area codes, used multiple BIOS's, tried using a different copy of the game disc ISO, but unfortunately nothing s working....

It seems like the system recognized the disk just fine, but it seems to be unable to do anything with it. As soon as I hit "start app.", I think the system resets because I immediately get this screen:

and then it's back to the system menu screen.

I am using the following ROM:

Any assistance much appreciated! If someone could also let me know of the exact SSF configurations that worked, I would be most grateful!

It's in the stuck thread called Sega system guides

    http://www.epforums.org/showthread.php?67974

Though it sounds like the exact same issue as people had with Panzer Dragon Saga that is caused by the CDDA tracks not being read and only the data track being read

    EDIT:

I done a quick test with my copy and the game gets to and past the New Game/Options screen

I also tried the exact same download and it results the same, I get to and past the New Game/Options screen

Just follow the guide you should be good to go
