Sms Wonder Boy in Monsterland in english

Hi! I'm looking for a Master System rom of Wonder Boy in Monsterland, but every single one I have found is in japanese, even the ones that say it's the UE version. Can anyone please help?

I'm not entirely sure as I rarely emulate anything. But perhaps the Master System is like the Genesis, where various games have multilingual options, and the game picks the language by detecting the region of the system its plugged into. So if your emulator is configured to be a "Japanese system", any games with multilingual options would automatically display in Japanese.

I'm sure somebody else here can probably give you better advice, but it can't hurt for you to poke at the settings while waiting.

Thanks Ragnar. I thought this could be the problem, but I'm using OpenEmu on Mac and there isn't any region-changing option or similar. So I'm still lost here...

You might want to look at at some other emulators then.

Here are a few Mac emulators. Try some Genesis emulators, they might do SMS as well.

You could also try playing some other Windows emulators under wine. I'm not sure about Mac, but I was successful getting quite a few emulators working under wine in linux.

I've just tried these two roms in Fusion (Windows) both have an English intro screen, I haven't tried any further.
