No shit, you should have kept it - there's no guarantee there will be a shortage, but you never know. You'll kick yourself if you could have doubled your investment
I wouldn't have had the spending money to do buy both of what I did buy and a PS4

I can't even deflect this anymore. I just read a VN where, in the first 10 minutes, the high school teacher protagonist admits to taking photos of his female students and jerking off to the pics every night.

    Sigh.

I used the PC-E cover 'cos I'm lazy. Probably a little confusing but the info explains the source and what was done.
    Partial trans.
I read it. The only version of Splatterhouse released for the Wii VC was the PCE/TG-16 one. He just used the uncensored Japanese ROM and translated it to English. Then re-injected it into the WAD.

The differences listed in his post.

I spent a lot more time than I should have adjusting the NTSC-J authentic .wad. Note that this is the Japanese uncensored version of the game, with main differences being the color of the mask is the original white, enemies bleed more, sound effects are more gruesome, and religious symbolism is present.
The only version of Splatterhouse that was censored was the US TG-16 version. All versions of the arcade version were released uncensored. Both the "Japan" and "World" releases.

Ahh, so the actual arcade version did come out for the Japanese VC. The only thing that got me about his description is that those differences that he talked about. Which only pertained to the US TG-16 version, not the actual arcade version. The "World" version of the Splatterhouse for MAME is totally translated and uncensored. I guess I should've read the description a bit closer...

Alright, I concede, you were right...

    ...are you happy now?

Anyway, I'm downloading it now to check it out.

Yeah, for sure - I've got the arcade version on that new splatterhouse game of course, but a CiB FM Towns would be nice.

How's about that Shadow of the Beast - you have one of those floating around?

The reason I uploaded it here was because I just stumbled across it by accident and thought it unusual.
Kinda forgot about it until the game was mentioned in here. I've removed the boxshot and edited the title now
It isn't fully translated though, you can see he mentions it needs some more work.
    I haven't tested it myself

Nah...FM Towns is one of those obscure consoles I probably won't ever collect for. Mainly because it's so expensive. Might as well collect NeoGeo AES.

I do have a really nice copy of the Infocom Mystery Library for DOS though. It's practically unused and pretty rare.

Got any MSX stuff lying around? Preferably Metal Gear 1 and 2 or Snatcher? If you can cough those up I'll even send you the launch games I bought and I'll cover the shipping cost
