Someone is pretty mad that I posted a picture of them in the "Cosplay done right thread".

You would think that would be a compliment, but I woke up to this.

What is Copyright Infringement?

To simplify this question, copyright infringement occurs when you do certain things with a creative work which someone else produced without first getting the proper permission.

Some examples of copyright infringement (this is only a partial listing) can include:

Placing someone else's photograph or creative work online without proper permission.
Using a creative work commercially without permission.
Adapting someone else's creative work found in one medium to another medium, such as making a book into a movie or a photograph into a painting.
Modifying or editing a creative work without proper permission.

The only problem I see is how ambiguous the first example is; HOWEVER, I checked the url of the image and it is a direct link to the person's deviantart page in which case Spose did not place it online. Credits are in place where credit is due and urethra is a tool with overly thick eyebrows.

I found it hilarious that the person is doing reverse image searches so they can threaten people about posting their image they uploaded online. It was in a thread saying that it was good. I guess some people just REALLY want to be sure no one is posting their images without first stroking their ego.

I wish I could drink at work. I just stand there, doing nothing hoping someone buys something so I can get some commission on top of my hourly. This is all under the table also, so no taxes on the wage or commission. I'm pretty sure if business doesn't pick up I might get fired, but the boss said not to worry about sales, just talk to people about the product.
