Hoping the PS3, 360 and Wii U versions are going to be on disc instead of just downloads

This will be shipped to you with the printed instruction manual (see the next entry below) already inside: it won't have the game in it because you're getting that via the download code, but hey, put whatever else youw ant in there. The Western-style box will be patterend after the NES game box dimensions and style, while the Japanese version will be Famicom-esque."

Agreed. Maybe if they raise enough money they'll have a physical release, but I have a feeling that won't happen no matter how much they raise.

It'd be way too much hassle so it'd probably be best if its just a download game

For those who are not aware you can now get a physical version (disc or cute NES/Famicom USB stick, PC version only) of the Mighty No. 9. Also, console version confirmed, portable (3DS/Vita) and next-gen might happen and best of all the MM2 composer is now on board the project!
