I don't think that this is going to flop hard enough to put much of a hurt on microsoft, and sony will probably be doing the same kinda thing by the time PS5 comes around.

I agree that the console probably won't flop hard, but the bad PR is enough to hurt the companies image, at least console side. As for Sony I don't doubt that they won't try something similar eventually, when this wild and wacky world decides to go all digital.

Apparently, Microsoft was caught using PC rigs equipped with GeForce 700's GTX GPUs at E3 when demoing XBOX ONE games, lol (actually, I've read poweful PC rigs are always used instead in game conventions instead of devkits)! The funniest thing is that Microsoft chose Windows 7 as the OS, haha, even they don't trust their new OS. Judge youselves:

Yeah that's nothing new. I recall that happening with the 360, too. The Xbone is basically just a gaming PC anyway, so who cares.

Yeah, but the XBOX 1 doesn't have a GeForce GTX 7xx GPU, so it's clear that the console can't render those graphics @ 60 fps, that's just impossible. Actually, I doubt it will be even capable of running @ 60 fps.

Dammit - I was really hoping M$ would take a serious hit, but they've just reneged on EVERYTHING they said at E3. Still, it's $100 more, so we'll see if that's enough to still put Sony back on top.

Let's make everyone think we have all these restrictions and build up hate and turn around and say guess what we listened to and love you and made things better just for you so now you'll buy the console and pay more than the PS4 and still be glad.

I think everyone saw it coming, at that point they weren't even trying to compete in the market.

Now that they got their weird, teenage 1984 days out of the way, all they have to worry about is that it: still forces the kinect on you, is still weaker than sony's machine, and still cost 100 dollars more.
