    Default Megaupload is back!

Or rather, it's simply called Mega now. Check it out:
    https://mega.co.nz/

They've been up for a few days already apparently and have been getting absolutely hammered. I've no idea how fast/slow they are at this point. But it looks like they've capped free accounts to 50GB of storage space, compared to 200GB before.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here

It'll be interesting to see how the service is compared to the meagre offerings still available atm.

    Spoiler warning:

Lot's of expectations from "Mega". I wish they do great even more than megaupload.
Would love to host my upload stuff on this.

Old user profiles are gone, but that is to be expected.

Yeah I don't think Kim Dotcom has access to any data from the old site. Last I heard the authorities were complaining about how much it was costing them simply to hold the data/content

So seeing as this is a clean slate reboot it means that no links will ever reactivate. Like if Kim does get his stuff back, I don't see why he'd ever care to try and resume the old service.

Its really too bad, especially for the people who used the site for legit reasons.
I honestly can say that old-MU was the crowned leader in all file hosters, imo. I also had a lot of games there.

I like Sendspace better...no captcha, no waits.

Nice to see MU back though.

Like myself. I only used my MU account to hold the massive amount of game screenshots I had in .rar's and lost all of them makes me sad since it was alot of MMO stuff from the mid 2000's that there is no way I can get again
Which is why I use either googles hosting or microsofts skydrive since the chances of those going down are slim.

I really have no idea of how it might work now... but as long as it gets better than the others, it is ok
Listen to my cover using Vocaloid :

So with Mega everything is supposedly super encrypted on your end before it's sent to their servers, my question is, how do offsite Mega search engines like this one have lists already of peoples uploads?
