I can't remember about DA2, but DAO was like that for achievements iirc.
I don't think there's much in the way of options for character creation in DA2

I could have, but there are so many missable trophies in this one related to finding certain items/equipment, not fucking up certain quest lines, and choosing opposite options, that I figured I might as well do it in two playthroughs instead so I didn't have to attempt a full 100% completionist run.

As it stands right now, I'll have to do a playthrough that sides with the templars, find all of one companion's equipment, follow the Evil Tome questline and destroy all of the books, and maybe but hopefully not track down all of the crafting recipes (to be determined).

There are the same character options in this one -- reach Kirkwall with one of each type of character. The only difference is there's 3 here instead of 6 in DAO.
