Sims 2 dolphin mac emulation help

so, i downloaded the newest version of dolphin for mac and no problems there. then. i downloaded the sims 2 gcube iso, which on my computer saved as a rar. is that ok? or does it need to be another file? if so, how do i change it to the correct one?
and, when i go into my folder to pick it, i click the sims 2 gcube rar i downloaded and it says it failed to boot.

Now, i know this game should work cause its on the compatability list.


My graphics card is an intel gmax3100, which can run sims 3, so i dont think it's that my computer is bad.


please help!

Open the RAR with WinRAR, WinZip or similar, then extract the iso.
