    Arrow Reliable Xbox emulator?

I may not have searched enough or found the most current information, but bear with me. Has anyone created a fairly reliable Xbox (original) emulator?

    No.

Use an original Xbox console...or if you know what you're doing, use a modified 360.

    Spoiler warning:

Thank you for your prompt response, Legion. Unfortunately, I don't know what I'm doing.

I believe with a jtagged xbox 360 (modified) you can run original xbox games. Shit you can even run emulators on those. They're pretty cheap now, the cheapest being a xenon for maybe $90 now? Only problem is the cheaper it is, the older the console is, the more susceptible to RROD it is.

More susceptible to breaking RROD = Red Ring of Death = Machine Not booting or working

An original Xbox is easy enough to mod (just with software) and very little risk of breakyness

Yeah I wonder how long if ever people will get PS3 or 360 emulation down haha. Wish the arcade games could be though. Theres a kit you can buy to fix the rrod, but I dotn know how much that costs. Buying an original XBOX is the best way to, the games are cheap now, and theyll only drop when the 720 is unveiled.

At this time, there is no reliable xbox emulator. I think the closest is Cbox or something like that, and even then it can only run commerical games slowly and glitchy. Keep in mind, it took a very long time before PS2 emulation become able to played at playable speeds. Perhaps in time, there will be a reliable xbox emulator. It will take much longer for PS3, and Xbox 360 emulators to surface. Although there is a PS3 emulator in development known as RPCS3, or something of that sort. I got kinda off-track here, but as this is discussing emulation in general, it fits. As for what they others say, I hear modding an original xbox isn't hard to do.

Not to mention that not all xbox software works correctly on the 360 anyway

And there is currently zero development of xbox emulators the scene is currently dead

There is more active development on the xbox for emulating other systems on the xbox than there is of an xbox emulator for windows based computers or any other OS
