Damn if they consider System Shock 2 an rpg you might as well consider half-life one then! And where is Faxanadu on that list?

The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.

No Daggerfall? I hope i missed something but how do you put Oblivion at 22 and omit Daggerfall a much better game.
Also FFVII over FFIX and FFVIII by like 80 spots fan boy much?
Then again it's IGN lol.
Mass Effect and Fallout 3 in top 10. Three TES games in whole rank and not even one Gothic game. It's IGN...
Well one good thing abou this list is it's giving me rpg ideas. Never really played Suikoden. Gonna give it a shot.
I thought it was a pretty good list (a good read) but what do I know, I'm a 20 year old gamer who's fav rpg is FFVII. Although I do understand the gripes about some games being no good in this day and age (only the really old ones in my opinion,) but on the other hand it was fairly all encompassing but then again what do I know (also they have 7 Final Fantasy games in the top 100 list...)
I would like to make a comment on FFXII though, bought it when it came out and didn't enjoy it much but I'm replaying it now on PCSX2 and not only does the game now look gorgeous but the game is way better than I remembered it. An amazing opening in my opinion, and I'm quite enjoying the battle and gambits system so far. The game seems way ahead of it's time and definitely deserves a ps3 remaster.
A little hard to believe it didn't even make the list, a little sad considering they included: VII, IX, I, Tactics, VII, IV and VI (in descending order, that's a lot of FF in a top 100 list.)
I love how they managed to list the original Final Fantasy and not 5.
Spoiler warning:
I have to hand it to IGN though, the amount of butthurt this list has and is bound to generate in the future (due to games listed/the order listed) is epic.
"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"
FF1wasgood
