Default I Need Some Help With My epsxe 1.7.0 Emulator

Hi I just downloaded the epsxe 1.7.0 emulator and I can't seem to get it to work. A message box shows up saying that it has stopped working then it closes the program. Any idea what might be causing this issue, plugins, bios? I downloaded this as a torrent from kat. The emulator came with a bunch of plugins and usa bios.

Here are my computer specs if helpful:

    MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
    AMD Athlon II X2 240
    Regor 45nm Technology
    3.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 535MHz (7-7-7-20)
    PEGATRON CORPORATION Narra6 (CPU 1)
    Compaq S1922 @ 1280x960
    RemotelyAnywhere Mirror Driver
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 430
488GB Seagate ST350041 8AS SCSI Disk Device (SCSI)
hp DVD A DH16AAL SCSI CdRom Device
    Realtek High Definition Audio

I hope someone can help me with this. I was able to use it when I had XP, but now that I have 7 64bit, I can't get anywhere with it.

    Thanks,

Which plugins are you using, and are they the same plugins you had working on XP? My guess is that, especially if your computer shipped with XP and not 7, that you're having hardware driver compatibility issues which could cause issues with particular ePSXe plugins. This emulator works fine on my 64 bit Win7 setup (a fairly new laptop) so it's not likely it's strictly a software compatibility issue.

I would try using a different video plugin than you're using now; specifically, I would test the P.E.Op.S Soft Plugin (can be found here; http://www.pbernert.com/gpupeopssoftwin118b.zip ). If changing up the plugins doesn't fix the issue, I would try using an earlier version of the emulator, such as 1.6, which you can find here; http://www.emuparadise.me/emulators/...sxe160_full.7z .

Let me know if this is helpful at all.
"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"

Assuming MaslowK's suggestion does not work, I would recommend turning off your Data Execution Protection (DEP), for ePSXe. There is a guide for it Here.

No my computer has windows 7. My older tower is what had XP. And about the emulator, I have the stuff that came with it. I just don't know what plugins I need to have plus bios. Those specs I gave are from my newer tower that has windows 7. That's the computer I'm using right now.

Well I tried both of your guys options, and neither one works. It still does the same thing.

Well, My first and only real idea would be to download it directly from Emuparadise, they have the latest emu with bios and the plugins are relatively easy to find.

If the message says something about winaspi32.dll or other .dll file, search for them on google and unzip them in the ePSXe folder. Run ePSXe as Administrator, then go into config menu and run the wizard. That will guide you through setup and hopefully get you started.

I've tried all of that. Maybe someone could do it for me using teamviewer? I just don't understand why it won't work for me.
