Default My ds emu is buggy

I tried using desmume and it doesn't recognise my roms.
So I tried ideas which works but there is no sound. What could I be doing wrong with Ideas?

    For iDeaS
Did you download any sound plugins....
and if so Did you label the plugin folder correctly, if you didn't it wouldn't even recognize the plugins.

and for Desmume, Did you download the latest one?
And if so, where did you get these roms from?

    * I would also like to know the specs to your computer in this matter, it may help resolve this issue.*

I'd recommend trying NO$GBA. The sound quality isn't the greatest, but it has next to no bugs.

I downloaded NO$GBA but Chibi Robo Park Patrol crashes.

I downloaded aud.dll for ideas. But it isn't in a folder.

    AMD Athlon 2 x 2 265 processor 3.3 ghz
    4gb ram
    64bit win 7 OS

Your specs check out, you can emulate correctly.
Just follow the instructions inside the folder most likely entitled ReadMe and here
and put the plugin files into the proper folder, otherwise, it's unable to produce sound.

I am sorry for not being of more assistance....
I haven't used iDeaS in a while so I am iffy.

I deleted all of my DS emulators.
Then downloaded the latest Desmume 64 bit.
It now works and with sound.
    Yay!

    Good.

    Just for future reference:
type in "dxdiag" in the run command.

Click on "sound". You can play with the slider. By default it should be at Full Acceleration. THIS accounts for some crap when you play games. I remember Titan Quest would continually crash because of the acceleration. So, take a look at that also if you either have sound problems OR you emu/game crashes.
