Worth updating MAME 0.143 to latest?

Finally got round to getting full mame set (0.143) a while ago, just wondering if its worth updating, any notable new games working? we have data limits in my lame country (i get 40gb a month)

Yes and No.

No, most new games are clones, or not working beta drivers. You can read the "what's new" of each beta here:

If you've data limits try to update your romset to latest beta (now: 146u1) with ctrlmame pro. Each beta is released after 2-4 weeks, fix/add bugs, new games/clone and most roms update are between 10-500 mb.
