Default Help me complete my JRPG list!

Hey guys. I'm trying to make a list of all JRPG games ever released. I know it's not that easy, but I'm not a perfectionist, I would be fine with only 99.99% of JRPGs.

Anyways, I want you to take a look at this list, and tell me if I missed something.
(Obvious tip: use Ctrl+F to search in the list to see if the series you have in mind is there)

I would also appreciate it if you take a look at the games in the "Not sure if considered JRPG" under Misc. section and let me know whether you consider them a JRPG or not.

My list rules are as follows:

1-Games must be developed in japan and have RPG elements as part of their main gameplay
1a-10% of the list can be dedicated to Korean, Chinese, and Western RPGs that mimic the JRPG artistically and technically

2-The list includes turn-base RPGs, Action RPGs, and Strategy RPGs
2a-The list does not include MMORPGs

3-The games must be available in English, either through official release or fan translation
3a-A small percentage of the list can be dedicated to the greatest JRPGs that are not available in English.

4-The games must be either part of a franchise or otherwise noteworthy

5-A series belongs to the list if the majority of games follow the above rules
    JRPG franchises:

Thanks. I have no idea why I missed that one.

EDIT: Whoa, that list is HUGE, I'm gonna need some time sorting through some stuff. Obviously many of them wouldn't be in my list such as

Well yeah, but you weren't overly specific.

We're also in the dark about what your qualifications of JRPG is. Do Korean RPGs count as long as they're menu based? What of western developed menu based games particularly those that ape eastern style or eastern developed real time games that are obviously D&D influenced?

Best just to include everything into JRPGs for the sake of completion. Everything is my favorite JRPG.

As for Korean and Chinese RPGs, I'm not really sure yet, what do you think?

And for Western games that are "like" JRPGs, NO! the list would become too large and useless. Plus, there are thousands of freeware games like that out there. If I were to include those, I would ONLY include a few that represent the rest.

Even for JRPGs, I don't want to include just any game, they have to be either good games that one would want to play, or otherwise noteworthy (for accomplishing something different).

No problem. Sometimes the most obvious locations are overlooked. I should know; I keep doing that myself. I'm just wishing I could had prevented myself from making a pun.

I'm not sure it matters what I think, I'm not attempting to make a list.

It's just that it always eventually comes down to a question of what a JRPG even is. It's kind of hard to say that something like FFXI is a JRPG while something like WoW or TOR aren't when they're basically the same game. It also gets a little complicated when you have something like Kingdom Hearts versus something like God of War. Or to go another way Valkyria Chronicles and Civilization.

The term JRPG is vaguely defined at best.

EDIT- You'd probably have to safely remove YS at least. Several of those games were made in South Korea.

    I just asked your opinion!

By my definition, JRPGs must be developed in Japan.

As for Korean, Chinese, and Western RPGs that mimic the JRPG artistically and technically, I'm willing to add a few of them (A few meaning: they combined take up 10% of the list)

My reason for creating this list is for people to be able to find JRPG game. Let's say I ask you to "recommend me a JRPG to play". You wouldn't tell me to play WoW (unless you're ing) The same goes for this list. I myself am trying to find JRPG franchises that I haven't heard of before.

And I am NOT removing Ys, that's a big JRPG series, even if few of them were developed in SK. For instance, Silent Hill Homecoming is developed in US, that doesn't make Silent Hill and American franchise.

The rules for the franchises are a bit different in that "majority" of the games in the franchise has to follow the list rules. As an example, Final fantasy has spin-offs in the fighting genre, but it's still a JRPG series.

No prob. The only other one I can think of that got translated that I dont see here is Hyperdimension Neptunia, which came out last year (2010 in Japan), a sequel just this year (2011 in Japan) and have begun production on a prequel.

The Black Onyx was one of the first and most influential Japanese RPG's ever made. The game was actually designed by Hank Rogers, a Dutch-American living Japan and should be included your list.
