A guy i work with said he got D3 by buying a year subscription to World of Warcraft, paid for one month, and deactivated his account. He says he got a working copy of diablo 3 for $15. Not sure if it works, but might as well get all you can out of Blizz. Sure you have to let your WoW account die, but that's no big loss.
