Ping. Sadly, the Amoeba and Sowers won't be in until the first beta release, but it's actually pretty impressive even now. Also, you can vote for features, graphics, and heroes you want them to put in even without buying a game, though buying a copy before release will give your votes more weight. It's basically got heroes like Masters of Orion 2, battle like Birth of the Federation (with the addition of phases), jump lane movement for chokepoints combined with the option of normal-space interstellar movement like MOO3, and generally, I'm quite impressed. It may actually supplant Space Empires, which is kinda showing its age.

But honestly, I have only surfed once. Skate/longboarding on the other hand; now that is my kind of activity.
