Out of curiousity do we ever foresee us working on making a Wii emulator? Just curious is all.

Thanks I read this though the only problem I see is you actually need to own the Wii games and dump them on the console. I used to own a Wii and I had to sell it years ago as I needed the money. I wanted to play Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword though how do I go about doing this. (have a Alieneware X51 PC custom made to with better hardware, not the laptop but the actual pc)

Just grab the emulator and download some games. Not really that complicated. You can get the emulator straight from their site or from the EP main site.

As long as your PC specs are decent you should be fine - you should probably post what they are actually.

Sorry if that's a bit much didn't know what you wanted from it.

Note: since the time of this report of the specs I have gone from DVI to HDMI as at the time I didn't have a spare HDMI cable. I do now and so now its in HD

Basically just needed the type of CPU, memory and GPU but that's fine

Dolphin is mostly dependent on a good CPU and of course video card which could be better but yeah you're good. An i5 is really what you'd want to run things well and you shouldn't have any real problems running games in a decent resolution.

Nah you should be able to get it to work. Apparently there's a bunch of people who have set it up using a 360 controller.

Edit: I found this poking around, I don't like to link off site for help but at least it's from the Dolphin site itself, here it is.

Confusing meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeow T_T um um hmmmm trying to figure out how to do all this I do have a 360 but no wired controllers their all wireless does it work with a wireless controller and plug and play kit?

I'm sure there must be a work around for binding a keyboard to it. Probably not a great idea using a keyboard for modern games anyways Anyhow a 3rd party 360 controller is pretty cheap. And I'm sure there must be a way to use a PS3 controller too if you have one of those - probably with MotionJoy as I believe there's an option for it emulating a 360 pad.

Someone who has actually done this may reply with an easier fix/answer as well

Edit: You would need a receiver for a wireless 360 controller as the usb cord for it is only for charging and doesn't transmit data - the PS3 one does though. It may be confusing at first but once you get it setup the first time you'll never have to worry about it again, all it takes is a little patience and research

No I never bought the PS3(always wanted to as before my Wii and after my Gamecube I was a huge Sony person) the 600 dollar pricing just got me was all and I didn't want a blu-ray (still don't have one don't care about it). I also am out of money for the rest of this month T_T. The last kindof controller I had that was one that I used for something like this was a MadCatz controller for the pc that was designed to behave like a PS2 controller. I used it for my PS2 emulator. But that was when I was in college and well I haven't seen that thing in over 5 years T_T.

Sorry for my lack of understanding I am somewhat tech savvy but it takes me time to learn and understand things is all. Also would the cord on the wireless controller that plugs it in and keeps it on be considered a receiver?

No the cord won't cut it (see my edit above)

Did some more looking around and this may help for keyboard/mouse use.

Keep in mind the version of Dolphin you'd need which it mentions pretty much at the start.

was reading the thread that the mod redirected them to for further talk and its so confusing from there that my head spins T_T.

Turns out I cant find my old Gamecube controller now either this is just a bad day :'(

Okay so after searching my room I managed to find my WiiMotion Plus that attaches to the bottom of the controller. Though of course its only that piece inside the controllers lil plastic protective thing, means no controller. So to get this to work Id need a actual regular Wiimote, and a Wii sensor bar right? Is there anything else? (cannot buy any of this anytime soon T_T )

Yeah I believe you'd need everything. But if you're gonna go and buy that stuff you may as well just pick up a used wii itself which are pretty cheap - you could probably find one for 50 bucks and then just hack it and download the games for it. We have some good guides here for that and a bunch of staff who have done it and can help if you need it.
