    Physical, I like owning things.

That said, I love Steam just because I'm a poor bastard and it's nice actually being able to afford games.

I emulate /a lot/. However, I emulate mostly (95%) old games (earlier than Dreamcast/PS2). If I could afford to have physical copies of the games I emulate (some of which sell for hundreds of dollars now on ebay), I'd probably never emulate again.

    So, physical is very prefferable.

honestly, i have had a history of my family selling my games so i kinda lean towards digital. especially when they are cheaper when they are released

Physical....I can make easy backups, I don't need to rely on any company or server if I ever lose it, and I can make digitial copies from my hardbacks without issues. Also MAJORITY of digital copies are THE SAME PRICE. The only exception is Steam on most cases.

I really, really appreciate the convenience of downloadable games like on Steam or whatever. I guess I'd say I like owning cartridge games because they're like.. a big chunk of plastic with a cool sticker on it. Disc games I'm more or less indifferent toward.

I do prefer physical copies since I can buy and sell my copy of the game if I feel I would not be playing it anymore. However, like any physical media, there is a lifespan of the actual media that worries me. It's usually ok since I take excellent care of my discs, electronics, and etc.

Physical copy for me, unless it's significantly more expensive to get the physical copy. Example, if I could buy Mass Effect 3 in the stores for $60, or buy it off the PSN for $45, I would probably buy it off PSN. Otherwise... I like being able to see my collection of games whenever possible. I also buy a lot of games from bargain bins, so it's nice to be able to look at a bunch of cheap games and decide on a whim that I'm going to buy it. A little more cumbersome with digital downloads on PSN to do so.

(Note: I don't play PC games, which is why I'm not including Steam in any of this).

Um, guys, "digitally" means purchasing a digital copy, not piracy.

I mean free games such as free mmorpgs or free indie games. But roms are illegal though.
