When I was maybe 13 it was great, used to have a blast staying up all night chugging mountain dew & playing it with friends, trying to unlock the whole 4 secret characters. Anymore though, the new ones aside, not really feelin' it.

"I think that the problem with this video is it is highly derivative of many popular bands within the genre. Although when viewed on its own merits, it does have a deeper groove. However what it has in groove, it lacks in originality. One can't help but be reminded of such bands as Pearl Jam, White Zombie, Suicidal Tendencies and other bands that bear the mantle of so called "Alternative Rock". One is even reminded of Lorie Anderson when she wore curlers. Hehehmhm! This video speaks less to the heart and more to the sphincter. In closing, I think Korn would do well to learn more from -"
like almost all good N64 games it's a great game, but the remakes are better. i personally loved it but SSBB beats it graphically and character selection wise
SSB aged really poorly, but in its time it was a great game, and set the bar for the next two sequels which were both oddles of fun
Who dares criticise one of the simplest, most nostalgic N64 fighting games around?!?
OK IMO, no it hasn't aged well......but I'd still have a soft spot for it in my heart. I mean it wasn't too long ago, that was one of the best games out(for it's time and system). If one of you want, we can go a round on an netplay version of the emulator?
"I am... Sheik. One of the last of the Sheikah tribe..."
people always want to put the first game in a series on a pedestal, and claim they are the best ones, like mario, zelda, final fantasy, smash bros. i think that, while they are still good, those games are the worst in the seiries, and isnt that a good thing. the whole point of a sequal is to make a better game than the last one, and if the first is the worst, it means the series is consistently improving.
so yes, as of 2012, smash 64 is overated.
