Arrow Rapidshare Limits Free Speed to 30kb/s

RapidShare is now limiting the download speed of free users to 30kb per second. I noticed this today while attempting to download a 133MB file (ETA 1hr 20min) from there... I thought my DSL connection was acting up, or down for service. However, a quick Google search told me I was not alone. Yet another good reason to use MediaFire or FileServe. "Rapid" Share? Hardly.

Proof that it's not just me:

Well, that explains a lot of stuff.

But it is difficult to realize because instead of showing that value
it shows more, but it carries the DL with "hic-ups", so it is strange.
I would not guess that anytime soon I guess.

But my Internet never maxes the 210 k's, so...

Yeah, I've already stopped uploading to them myself. Good thing they did this now, instead of a month from now. I was planning on putting half my stuff up on them.

I really wouldn't suggest ever going back to FileServe. Their network of hosts were half the problem when shit hit the fan. Like do you really want to upload 100GB to them, only to have them delete your account because they noticed one file that violated their ToS? They nuked my account once already, no reason to think they won't do it again.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here
