Final Fantasy. Old or New?

I'll just say neither. Each era is about equal in good games and games I don't give a crap about or are just crap. I'd rather look more into SMT.

First six were fine. Seven is one I played once and that was it. Like VIII-X-2 were also good. Skipped XI because I didn't have broadband(and money) at the time. XII was good but way too damn big for me to able to get whatever passes for '100% Completion'.

The first final fantasy game was final fantasy 8, however since I have played one and two, I became hooked. I couldn't play 12, because I didn't like it at all. I've played the first two
over and over. I also love final fantasy four. The new ones just seem so different from the earlier ones, I understand that they would want to change it, but they made them awful.I quit playing after 12 and 10-2, because that was ridiculous.

I started with FF1 on the NES. Apart from the crappy shop system it was a pretty amazing game. HUGE! for its time. All the US FF games up to 3(6) were great. 7 was a whole new direction, and it was breathtaking. 8 and 9 were crap. I never finished 8 because it was too boring and static. I never finished the first disc of 9 because I wasn't 5 years old when it was released, so the cutesy graphics killed it within about 5 minutes.

Anything newer than that really feels like a plastic girlfriend. It might look nice, but it doesn't move under you, get on top and furiously ride, cook, clean, or rub your shoulders. X and later feel like nothing ever changes. Although I will say if you play x-2 with the volume off and the long transformation active, it can be fun in a DOAX kind of way.

Seems like I can't make it through an RPG-related thread without mentioning the greatest RPG in XBOX history, DOAX. XD

it will be better for us gamers if someone kindly remind game companies that graphics isn't the only thing in a game

that's so true... however most people will think graphic is one vital point if u see how the other technology works (like cellphone, for example) even the graphic of the icon is obviously better now.

But this is mainly about console though. Most peoples prefer fuckin good graphic for modern game consoles. :/

The recent modern FF games is all about "identity losing". Why did I say that? If you look at Final Fantasy 13, almost everything about the originality of Final Fantasy concept is gone.

I find this hilarious, considering that the original FF was a point-blank ripoff of Dragon Quest and D&D. It didn't start developing any originality until later on and FFXIII is arguably the most original of the lot in terms of setting and gameplay (though hardly the best regarded).

Nothing hilarious about someone opinion. He has his point. For me, the current Final Fantasy is not enjoyable anymore. No more fun and enjoyable adventure.
Just like what he state, Final Fantasy really loose their actual gameplay.

i think you just dont get into the game,well although youre a fans of FF as it written under your name you dont have to judge the new FF has no more fun or enjoyable..its so funny for you arguing about it...what a silly
