I think it would be atari games, I remember playing them when I was little. In fact,I only know what the cartridge looks like, instead of the names of the games. Nintendo, especially Super Mario bros, tetris and Legend of Zelda. I remember playing them and my friends and I would give each other tips because there wasn't game guides exactly or the internet. You
just learned from playing and figuring out what to do. Playing these games now takes me back to my childhood and the 1980's.Good times.

The most nostalgic games for me would be EA Sports titles on Genesis. Starting with Lakers vs. Celtics with a side of NCAA (SNES), NBA JAM (SNES). Rounding the roundball talk with Slam-N-Jam '95 (3do) and the Original EA LIVE that was released on PSX... I think it was '95, the one that featured the 16-bit looking players with the big heads and when you hit turbo and x, they pulled off a Looney Tunes type of a spin move or something! Gaming was a little different then, more idol time to burn play'n games with friends. Now its easier to go online to find competitive and co-op plays.

    Great thread.

For me it would have to be something on the c64, possibly one of the Monty games, Beach Head or even Winter Games with its multiplayer amusement. Actually its probably Bruce Lee. Argh, I can't decide...

Whilst I didn't have the system itself for long it was my entry to home gaming and thus is the most nostalgic for me. But oddly given that a lot of the media for the C64 was on cassette tapes (in the uk at least, think stateside they were more used to 5 1/4 floppy disk) some of the most vivid memories are of the various loading sequences and the thought that went into entertaining the user is one way or another. Top stuff.

To be honest any old console can kick in some nostalgia for me, seriously. But I guess if I had to name a game that kicked in a LOT of nostalgia...you know, like the ones where when you're done playing the game you reflect for over an hour on how much fun you used to have, how life was, etc...

Yoshi's Island for the SNES (for the days spent locked up in my room) or 007: Nightfire for Gamecube (for the multiplayer nostalgia).

Super Mario RPG, the game is way too easy if not for nostalgia I'm not sure I'd like it so much.
