I received it yesterday but haven't started it yet. Did you play FF XIII? If so, you enjoyed it and have the money, you should go for it, should keep you busy for some time. Some members here (Krisan, IcyShards) have started it recently, look in the Let's Play area to get some first hand opinions.

Is a new Final Fantasy game worth $60? (I assume you mean US currency).

    No.

What "new" FF game are you talking about anyway? Just curious.

Honestly, XIII-2 is a terrific game I feel. I mean even XIII was good for what it was, maybe it wasn't what a lot of people were hoping for, but it's really hard to call it a bad game in my opinion. Nonetheless, XIII-2 is very awesome, I like it a lot. I'm debating right now whether to continue my stream of it or just play through it on my own time.. (Haven't gotten enough feedback on my last stream to know if people care or not.)

i say go for it! You won't regret it!
I enjoyed FF XIII, and FF XIII-2 has everything XIII had, but improved and much better. Not to mention the puzzles you solve for each paradox and the NPC interaction and map exploration. It gives that true FF feel!
    It's worth it!

No game is worth 60 bucks. Unless it's Infinite Space for the DS.

    That's worth 100.

XIII-2 addressed and fixed A LOT of what was wrong in XIII. Definitely worlds better. I like it so far.

The only thing they could probably do better is the music. It just doesn't feel like Final Fantasy without Nobou Uematsu.

I say gamefly it. My friend was pumped up for it, started playing it and his excitement level went from a 9 to a 5...

I'd recommend renting it or waiting until it's cheap before you buy it.

I was at work at the time of your stream so I only got to catch the replay but I must say I was impressed by the game plus from watching you play it's the first final fantasy in a long time that's got a lmao factor (I want to say since VI.)seriously man watching the replay I couldn't stop laughing at some of the live event choices and you did very well at making it interesting with your choices.

I am just waiting for the inevitable discount. Final Fantasy games are a few that I don't seem to be able to justify a full price day one purchase anymore. FFX was fantastic and so worth all the money. By the time I picked up FFXIII I was already woefully unimpressed at how far the series hadn't gone. I'm just gonna wait this one out for teh 20-30 dollar range as usual.
