    Default R4i3D card: Save issues.

Hello people, thanks for stopping by this thread. A friend of mine just recently got a nice little card for xmas, but the card has one issue: it does not save. Well, I can't say it does not save, it does, but not everything. For example, a few crappy games out there will get a save file, but others wont. When I change the settings, like the ui for example, it wont change/save. I've formatted the sd card several times and placed various versions of the firmware on it
the one he got is the one that says 2012.

If anyone can help with this issue, I'd be most grateful.

Extra details: I have everything here with me.
    It's a 3DS with version 3.0.06U
I have searched Google many times already.
The card works, it loads the games, but it's failing me there(the save part).
I don't have another DS system to test it on(like a DS Lite).

    Thank you and good day.

So, does anyone know what might be wrong? Or does anyone have anything else I should try?

I'm not entirely certain but I've heard that there are a lot of clones (or fakes) out there that won't really work or last long. I'm not sure if R4i3D is the one. I'm currently using Acekard 2i and it supports the 3DS system (meaning it can play NDS games but cannot run 3DS ROMs) I would consider getting that if your R4i3D is really falling apart.
