    Default Tales of Destiny Trouble.

I'm new to whole ROM/ISO/Emu area for PSX, so if you could bare with my terrible knowledge i'd be heavily grateful.

I recently got Tales of Destiny ISO for PS1 on PSX 1.7.0. running on Pete's D3D Driver 1.77 for Video settings. The game runs fine except for one aspect.....:

The text overrides every part of itself. The only thing I know of with my knowledge of this, was that I was going to try out the PEOPS plugin. Of course i'm lucky as hell I got this far, and I have no idea what, or how to fix this issue, that would work, or even know If I dun goofed and posted in the wrong area.

I know it can't be the ISO tho as i've DL'ed this from both here, AND Emu Hustler; Both with the same problems. I've tried the Message speed in the ingame menu, and this problem still persists.

Sorry for sounding like a total dumb***, but help would be greatly appreciated.

Do yourself a favor and use this emulator,

    http://psxemulator.gazaxian.com/

simple, no bullshit, and runs most 2D PSX RPGs just peachy.

Looks to work completely, I put the "SCPH1001.bin" into the bios folder....until I have no idea where to put the "d3dx9_26.dll" into. I DL'ed it, went to the forum FAQ there, and it told me "Place into the same directory as psxfin". I did such in every scenario possible I could imagine.

    - Place just the simple Gearbox .dll file into the same directory = It doesn't work
    - Place every file from the d3d file (Security, dll, etc.) in = It doesn't work.
    - Nitpicking each one, or in pairs = It doesn't work

    My apologies.

you need the directx redist, http://www.microsoft.com/download/en...s.aspx?id=8109

extract that to its own folder, look for the Setup.exe,

it will install all missing directx files, then pSX and anything else with that error should run perfecty.
