If anything, I think it is more of the uploaders who get caught. More than 50% of all Americans pirate. Which i'm surprised by SOPA, because when the EU passed a similar law or were debating on it, one of the white house big wigs said that it would be too much trouble to arrest or fine people, because people would just skip paying the fine and would have to go to jail.

This is right. It's mostly the heavy uploaders that call attention to themselves, if not the only ones. And all things being equal, they can only be "caught" while actively doing it like through a torrent connection unless something unprecedented was to happen. The thing is that most of the big uploaders are not from the US since the US has quite low upload speeds on the average. In some countries the MAFIAA can't reach them. This is why they're throwing tantrums like SOPA, etc.

hmm... i've been "finding things online" for about 13 years now, on many different ISPs, so either it is extremely rare to get in trouble, or i actually have awesome luck with something for once... though, with my uploading... ill find out about that.. just started upping last year, maybe i should slow down with the uploading for a while... least until all this bs with SOPA, PIPA, and ACTA goes away.... btw, apparantly PIPA means blowjob in Greek..... just thought id share that lol
