I have thought a lot about that. It seems like the less common sense anybody has the more inclined they are to seek a position of power; whilst all of us intellectuals just complain about how horrible everything is from a safe distance.

I always felt that I was bright and talented, and I grew up around like-minded people in my family. But for the most part it was the same thing: we would sit there and smugly dissect the status quo from our ivory tower without ever thinking of taking action to change anything.

To flatter your own ego and make others suffer because you have such a microscopic peen0rz?

Money and Power are valid arguments too...

Well... I was kinda ignoring this thread until now, but I have a story to tell. ^^

Last month my brother came from university (he has chinese/japanese studies) and he told me that
in the morning a girl of his class sketched on the blackboard a "chibi" of the passed one, along with
his name, and wrote: "gone for good". (This before the teacher entered the room)
Then, another girl, fan of Korean pop music comes in, glances the blackboard and says:
"hey, I never heard that one!"...

Yeah, I guess he was well known...

    ...

(Tirany is a terrible thing... most of their people live oppressed. )
