Default Near -PERFECT- Romance Of The Three Kingdoms Settings! (PS2 emulation)

Hey, everyone. My name is SynthericPanda and I'm new to the emulation scene, and this being my favorite place for emulation, I figured I'd have to share my personal findings with you guys.
Now I don't want to take -ALL- the credit, so if anyone has figured out anything for this, and has not spoken up, and found it before I have, please speak up now, I don't want to take the credit for this. But if I am the first one to find this, I will definitely share.

I've read a lot about how there's a lot of coloration issues for the games Romance Of The Three Kingdoms VII, VIII, and IX as well, whether it be a illegal download, or a ripped copy. Coloration being, that all the text is very blurry and unreadable, and unless your eyes are some robotic stuff, you'll never know what Skills you have, because it's just simply impossible to tell. Romance of The Three Kingdoms X, and XI, however... Do not have this issue. Strange? Maybe.

Well, I have somehow found a perfect set of settings that will make everything perfectly playable in all of the Romance Of The Three Kingdoms games, the only issue, though, would be speed, which, my rig what not meant for speed.

Right now, I am currently using the PCSX2 0.9.9.4980svn *and note: if all of these issues are fixed in the newest svn, and I just haven't figured that out, PLEASE, by all means, save me from embarrassment and let me know, then close this post*

    Now, to the settings:

Under Config, all the "Emulation Settings" should be set to default, except for "Speed Hacks" wherein EE Cycle Rate and VU Cycle Stealing should both be set to "2"

    GS:
    GSdx 4979 (SSE2 - my processor = ick):
    Direct3D9 (Hardware)
    Interlacing: Blend bff
    Resolution: Native
    Texture Filtering: Half-check? (I guess?)
    Logarithmic Z: Check
    Allow 8-bit Textures: Un-check
    Alpha Correction (FBA): Check
    PA
SSSPSX PAD Pressure Mod 1.7.1 (your own controls, it really don't matter)
    SPU2:
SPU2-X r4979 (I use Disable effects processing for the obvious (SPEED UP!))
    CDV
Linuz Iso CDVD 0.9.0. (I use ripped ISOs because all my hardcopies have seen their last loading screen lol)

    Welcome to EP

Unfortionatly those settings will never work for everyone, alot of settings depend on what the users hardware is, so there is never going to be a perfect setup, also the same reason you have not seen problems that others have

Personly I use a PS2 with a nice and simple softmod that lets you boot DVD+R's directly with no sort of boot disc ect..

I do hope your lil post can help someone wanting to play those games via emulation though

    Mod projects - XBOX
Phantasy Star Online Episodes 1 & 2 - online quests in offline mode packs [COMPLETE]
    [Quest Packs Collection]
GTA San Andreas - Hot Coffee [COMPLETE]
[Mod ready] & [Full ISO ready]
GTA San Andreas - Real Car Names extra content mod [WIP] [Back burner, just won't have the time ]
Please can all ESR users post your results here to help with the project and others wanting to use ESR

Thank you for clearing this up. I was a little concerned as it's just all real basic and it's pretty much all my computer can handle. I'm glad you could help me clear that up though. Also - thank you for welcoming me =D
