I agree, sadly. I can count on one hand the number of recent games that made me say "WOW" with their storyline/ending....usually just re-hashes of re-hashes since 2000....like the song says: "Its all been done."

Once in a while, something GRABS me and makes me take notice, but not often, these days. Games like RE4, Monster Tale, Scribblenauts, and Every Extend Extra come to mind...

I rather like games like Resident Evil 4 that sort of 'continue on' and allow you to 'power-up' and/or reveal other parts of the game...if this makes sense?

Inferno, DAMN, man....mouth ulcers AND lagging internet? I feel for you, brother. As for those ulcers, a good rinse/brush with some Listerine-like wash couldnt hurt.
(Well, those harsh rinses might LITERALLY 'hurt', but in the end, they are miracles for mouth/teeth issues...)

Don't let the RE fanboys hear you talk about 4 like that.

I think I get what you are on about with RE4.

Best game I've played in the last few years is probably Valkyria Chronicles.

Honestly the only Resident Evils I've played are 1-3 and Code Veronica.
    I tank controls.
But I still prefer Dino crisis.
    Mainly because of Regina's ass.

Dreamcast market is getting dumb...I remember when these were $5 games online (which is about what I paid for each of them)...

Fanboys? Meh....how could I possibly care? I live in the real world and get female 'love' quite frequently....

Nem, do you mean those controls that people bark about? I rather love those, actually. The awesome 'Onimusha' series uses said controls, as do the Dino Crisis games. Although I know and love the 'tank controls', I fell fast in love with the 'over-the-shoulder' style of part 4, as well.

My FAVORITE control sceme would be a hybrid of the 'Metroidvanias' and Mario 64, though. (I fly around those castles like a friggin laser-tipped eagle NINJA....LOVE me some 2-D controls! )

On Dino Crisis: My wife's name is Regina...NO joke! We have actually poked-fun at this while playing the games...heh...

"game ass"....!! LOL, thats awesome! Actually, man, I dunno.....a girl I used to (shag) date used to play that series, whats it called, with the chicks on the beach.....now THOSE were some 'digital physiques'!! D-A-M-N!

Also, my buddy has these vinyl statues of Anime-looking chicks called "Please, Teacher"......G-O-D-D-A-M-N if I dont find my eyes moving up and down those things.....mmmm, mmmm, mmmmmm.....
(He overpays for them on E-Bay Japan, but hey, they are tasty on the eyes...)

Anyhow, moving ON from boner-inducing animations....

    Yes.

I always make it a point to ask about her sister.
And I take a long time to answer her questions.

    Nice.
I have 2 copies of the original for PSX, but no copy of Dino Crisis 2, which I am looking for.
Dino Crisis is my favorite horror game of all time.
