Default What sound/music/image do you find relaxing?

It's interesting how a sound, music or image can make you relaxed almost instantly. To be honest I always had this affinity to the hair dryer noise, or white noise if you want to get more scientific. It just makes me relaxed, it's always like that when there's a fan. Especially recently, I recorded the sound of my fan heater and listen to it during the night on loop. It helps a lot sleeping and can also imagine the relaxing warmness from it.

So, what's your most relaxing soud, music or image?

I have a My Pictures screen saver shortcut on my desktop so I can go to it whenever I need a break. The directory has a bunch of random art on it and I use it as an Oracle.

When a certain shade of light is outside. It's cloudy but not real grey. There's a moist cool breeze usually too. Strong nostalgia there.

I remember finding the sound of a flushing toilet comforting when I was a kid. Specifically when it was night and I was in bed though. I think it made me feel less alone in the house is all. Thought I'd mention it as it made me laugh...

I like to listen to the sound of children dying. It makes the nightmares go away. Jk of course. In all seriousness I seem to go super chill when I play the game Ico

This is interesting... because in my case, it was the opposite. I was afraid of it!
Well, not really because of the sound itself, but I remember being little and washing my hands in a haste
so I could zoop quickly into the bed without having to listen to the last part of the "recharging" sound...
    That was the scary part!
(Maybe because of the silence that follows? It was only at night though...)
    ...

    Now for the relaxing part:

I really find relaxing listening to a couple of songs, but especially one called "Manazashi".
It is a song from an anime ending: "Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni REI".
Truly relaxing. Try closing your eyes while listening to it. ^^

To be honest, I can't decide for any relaxing music. But here's one, from a beautiful soundtrack:

In the game, you can go underwater and you can see statues, fishes and sunk ships. Then the music kicks in and you go into a wonderful relaxed mood.

I don't exactly understand the meaning of "relaxed".

For some people, relaxed is a state when you don't have to fulfill any needs. I always have something to do, some goal to reach, so I never feel "at peace" or "relaxed". Sometimes when I'm extremely tired and I go to bed, there's a momentarily feeling of bliss, and that's what I call relaxed. I can't associate any music to it though, since it happens in a single moment and then I go to sleep.

I find the Mac Anu theme quite relaxing. (The original, that is; don't know about the G.U. version.) By the way, Englebert, what's the name of the song you posted?

The sound of legs again sheets. You know the one. Preferably that of four legs. Gurl quietly snoozing is nice too.
