Default Gundam Battle Assault 2 issues and how to use VGS (full) on XP and for free?

While Gundam Battle Assault 2 may be up for download, it doesn't work correctly on ePSXe, and refuses to work at all on PSX. To be more precise, the game will load up and let me do a VS CPU or VS 2P match, and I can go into the options screen, but after choosing my Gundam in 1P mode, it crashes when trying to load the first stage, as well as when I complete a VS CPU or 2P match.

I've read elsewhere that this is a problem with ePSXe, and that someone was going to try to use VGS to run the game, but I never saw the results. Is there a way to run the game correctly on ePSXe? If not, how do I use VGS on XP, and is there a way to get the full version for free?

    System Specs (if needed):

    CPU: Celeron 1.6GHz (hatehatehate)
Graphics Card: I don't know how to tell.
    RAM: 1528MB
OS: XP Professional (5.1 Build 2600)

If any other info is needed, please let me know.

Well, I guess that's what I'll have to do, if it ever reaches that high on my list of things to buy. Thanks for the intel.

Well, we have at least one cracked version of VGS on the main site here.

I also found a different version with some instructions and other possibly useful things on an uh... "alternate" site:
Connectix Virtual Game Station CVGS 1.4.1 XP + patches & regfiles & Tools.rar

Just so you know, I scanned ^this^ with avast! (no positives) and there are two positive comments were I got it, but it does to put something in your registry.

    Hope that helps.

Use epsxe 1.6.0 AND ONLY that version. This game was confirmed to run perfectly with this version.
With 1.7.0 it randomly crashes with me or sometimes not at all. With version 1.6 it runs fine.

Should it matter, here's my setup

Tested, and all I had to do was turn frame limit on:
Config ---> Video --> Choose Plugin --> Configure --> "Use FPS Limit"

    Have fun.

    EDIT:
And make sure to thank Myst.
