Battlefield 3 Beta

Didn't really see a stand alone thread for this, if there is....well sue my ass lol

I downloaded the beta last night on my PS3, and played a few quick matches, and I tell you that just that bit I played of the game, I had more fun there, then I ever had on any of the newer CoD games (love the old ones). The game just controlled better, it seems dying was a little harder, and so on.

Now yes there are quite a few bugs I noticed, but hopefully they can get them figured out before the release date.

All and all, a lot of fun. Anyone else been playing it?

I have been playing here and there. It's ok but the PC beta is also extremely buggy. Not to mention that the servers are very laggy. Interface for the beta runs through a web browser, which I don't like and frankly, it isn't very user friendly. I know this may not be the case for the actual game but so far, it has yet to stand out for me personally. It looks good but it seems to me that it's still hard to tell at this point how much it will stand out from other FPS games. I'm going to give this a while before I try to really evaluate it.

I've played around 10-15 hours of BF3 so far and I have to say, aside from bugs that plaque the beta, its going to be great when it releases.

It wasn't a very good idea to make THIS beta open to public, especially so soon after ALPHA testing. There are waay too many bugs to be open to the public. Everyone is going to be playing THIS to "test" the game to see if it's worth buying and this is nothing what the finished, polished game is going to be like. the textures, animations, visuals, balancing, etc. isn't at it's top state and people misinterpret that because some still think beta = demo. No, it isn't a demo. its called beta TESTING for a reason. they want the people that actually know what it means and people that just play to try it or play it because they want to play it early, to report the bugs they find while the game is in THIS state, so they don't run into bigger problems when they actually finish and release the game.

Overall, it's an OK BETA, hopefully there will be a patch for the beta soon.

I'm gonna try it out once i get around to it but at the moment im enjoying other games. ( Dead island for one )

I've being playing the PC beta and I have mixed feelings. I think the game is good but it could have been great. The full game will probably be better with more maps, vehicles, and less bugs but BF2 spoiled me

It has been pretty fun so far, but I have fallen through the map so many times I'm probably going to buy it when it comes out though, It's a lot of fun.

I dunno, you shouldn't be able to stand more than four shots in a realistic setting. BF3 is meant to be played slowly, tactically and flanking your enemies, it's not like COD in which you can just empty a SMG on someone and maybe he will have a chance to shoot you back. Also, keep in cover, I get so many kills at guys just waltzing to the M-COM station thinking they just can set up the bomb like that.

It's gonna be a great game, but MW3 looks pretty good, they're different games, don't forget that.

I'm personally going to wait for the full release before giving it a go - I don't want to be disappointed in the browser game! I've been playing the free browser game version - Battlefield Play4Free - in the meantime, and it's actually quite decent!
