Suikoden IV - PCSX2 - Freezing

I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Suikoden IV. For me it freezes if I wait before choosing new game at the title screen but even if I am quick and pass that point it still randomly in game freezes giving me a black screen.

As it was suggested i turned off the speedhacks and the game works great.

can your p.c run a ps2 emulator??? Do other games run fine??? there are about untold amounts of threads here now asking the same things. If you wanna ask people need more info, or use google or the search function on the site. P.c specs what emulator version you are using, this is why not alot of these questions are unanswered people are sick to the teeth of the same question over and over again.

Yes I am sorry I did not say anything. I played Suikoden V just fine with minor graphic problems that never really mattered and seemed to have been caused because I raised the VU.

The PC I am using is an
Intel Q9400 @ 3.9GHz
ATI HD4870 512MB
4GB ram @ 1.3GHz
Windows 7 64bit

I have only tried Suikoden V and Dokapon Kindgom up to now. Thanks for being kind enough and letting me know that I needed to include these information . I have already looekd all over about Suikoden IV. I am not sure if my search skills are good but I found out that Suikoden IV indeed has problems but some people seem to be able to play normally. I was wondering if there are any options that can be used. I am still trying around to tweak the option and make it work.

If you have enabled any speedhacks, try disable it, and run the game again with fast boot.

Which version of PCSX2?

Thank you very much meganova for the tip. I kept trying different speedhack settings but I always kept on the 3 recommended speedhacks that you choose through the tickboxes. After playing Suikoden 5 I did not expect that without speedhacks games would go so fast. Suikoden 4 seems to run great now. Thank you both for your help I wish you have a wonderful day.

Yes, I don't use speedhacks and the game freezes when I press X button on New Game...
Can anyone solve this?

My game still freezes if i wait a couple of seconds on the main screen to press new game, maybe you do not do it fast enough? The game froze on me on new game when I had the VU stealing up to 2. I am using the latest 0.9.8 version with the SSE41 plugin for GS (in the plugins i get three options of gsdx 4600). I use an iso image btw and the US version since I tried to rip my original european version one and it didn't even start.
