Keep meaning to give one of these a try......

My buddy turned me on to a game years ago, not sure, but I think it was labeled 'strategy'. This guy was a huge, fat Samoan dude named Mike that set us up with this new, amazing thing called "ZSNES" for our PC....he was/is a MEGA-computer nerd that would regularly talk over my head, and was a 'Webmaster' 20-times over before many people even knew what the internet was. I should have paid better attention to this guy...
Anyway, this was a PC game that was all the rage about 15 years ago....'Age' something or other. The graphics were really great, and the point of the game was basically to 'begin' your own humanoid culture, and see that they flourish. I remember building little walls with the cursor, and seeing my little 'tribe' develop from neanderthal to the Iron Age....EXCELLENT stuff......

Always wondered about that game....I'd love to try something like this for DS/GBA.....

Sounds like Civilization. Or possibly Populous.

^ Either way, it was a ball....I miss it... I never saw any packaging or box art from the game, as he had burned it onto a disc for us...

It probably isn't Age of Empires, since it sounds too obvious?

Coming to RTS games, it's probably my second favorite genre after RPG, so I played whatever I had chance of.

Mostly Age of Empires 2 & 3 with expansions, had allot of fun in LAN games. There comes W3 TFT of course, some Starcraft 2. On PSX I played Red Alert (was it first part?) allot!, pretty simple game - playable on console - kicked ass allot. Then played C&C: RA3 on PC, didn't enjoy it as much but was fun too. Perhaps I played few more just can't remember, maybe some Civ or so, cause I really enjoy games with strategic planning and witty tactics. )

I've looked up for R.U.S.E. heard it's quite good, hope my Laptop can handle it once I install it.

    Any feedback anyone?

Just got Homeworld 2, it has all kinds of wonderful mods for it, even a Stargate mod (it's a WIP, so only SGC, Goa'uld, and Wraith are available). I'm up for playing a match with anyone interested, as always.
I'm also up for Starcraft, Dragonshard, Kohan/AG/2, TAK, or something else.

The best Rts is got to be Age of Empires 2.
