Default Any way to connect wireless 360 controller to PC?

Was just wondering if this was possible, would be much better to play emulated games with. Thought it might be possible since my computer has wifi capabilities. Any info is greatly appreciated

Ahh I see, but I know that with a PS3 controller you can connect it with the charger to pc via some program (i forget the name). Is it possible to do that if i purchase the 360 controller charger or am i stuck with purchasing the receiver?

Nope. You'll need the receiver if you have a wireless 360 controller. I tried it myself back then, and it didn't work. Honestly I'd suggest you get a wired controller instead.

By wired controller i assume you mean a 360 one? So the wired ones will work, just not the wireless?

Yes. Wired ones work better from what I hear, but I haven't actually tried using a wireless receiver before. I use a wired Microsoft controller personally, for anything that I emulate.

I could be wrong on this but I thought the wireless 360 controller won't connect to the pc with the charge cable because it still acts wireless and the cable is just for charging

However I do recommend the 360 controller anyways, I find it's great with most emulators and a lot of pc games come out with that controller in mind/already bound.

This is correct, but they told him to buy a wireless receiver for his wireless 360 controller, or to buy a wired 360 controller.

I've personally used both, and I didn't notice much of a difference. The wireless works pretty well overall.

I've used both as well and they work perfectly fine. I've even done 2 player with 2 wireless on one PC and had no issues.
