The player drives on a route to Palmont City on a small abandoned road on Carbon Canyon, when a flashback comes.It reveals that he was a high-stake street racer in Palmont City,and a racer named Darius (Played by Tahmoh Penikett) loaned him his Toyota Supra to race against Kenji, Angie, and Wolf.He manages to win,but he realises that all the other drivers were shot by the EMP,and he drives back to his former girfliend named Nikki (Emanuelle Vaugier) to take the prize money just when she is aressted,and he realises that there is no money in the back.Few minutes later,he is shown to leave Palmont City by Darius'es instructions. In present day, former Police Sergeant, now turned bounty hunter, Cross (Played by Dean McKenzie) in his Chevrolet Corvette, chases the player down the canyon leading to his BMW M3 GTR that he reclaimed from Razor in Need for Speed: Most Wanted being wrecked. Shortly before Cross can arrest the player, Darius and his crew arrive. Darius pays off Cross, and the player meets up with Nikki on bad terms.
