Also, not every country is retarded about console modifications (there have always been services offered where I live, and access to modchips and modified consoles has never been a problem).
In some countries is actually quite legal

What country do you hail from? I thought that the EUCD (Europe) had similar restrictions...?

I pretty much thought the only places one could get away from draconian copyright laws was in Russia, or Korea.

Every method to mod the 360 always looks like such a hassle.

    I'm in Australia.
Copyright law (media) does exist here, but there's no proactive policing of it really.
It's only retards at markets trying to sell illegal copies of stuff that get in trouble......and there are plenty of smart pirates that never get caught

Anyway, console modifications have always been a slightly different matter than media theft.
Copying media only has one purpose, but in legal cases console modification does not necessarily fall into the same category.

So true. Got really close to doing a JTAG, only to find out minutes before from a random different guide that my firmware version had about a 50% of working. I chose to flash the drive instead. -__-

    360Squirt

    Info:
    Spoiler warning:

There's no actual info on the mainsite. Although I found a list of supposed features online.

    • A3P060 ACTEL 100Mhz (double speed then XILINX version)
    • Oscillator on board (super stable then other solutions)
    • ZIF15 pin JTAG updatable (compatible with INJECTUS JTAG programmer)
    • DYNAMIC GLITCH CONFIGURATION (users can setup timing for a perfect glitch on each console)
    • The 100 Mhz speed allow to grant a perfect GLITCH in about 5 seconds, this mean BOOT X360 in 10 times less time then other solutions.

Along side the release of these glitch chips is a new solderless NAND flash solution by the makers of the WiiClip. It is called the 360-Clip, although it will work on any TSOP NAND Flash chip.

50% chance of working? Eh. If your dash was 7371 or older, and your 360 was made before July 2009 it was completely JTAGable...

Maybe misinformation or general confusion? (the 50% business)

Kind of like coming across info that says an Original Xbox v1.6 can't be modded (which of course isn't true).

I managed to mod my xbox1 in around half an hour without any problems but I think the 360 is much more difficult and will not atempt it. It seems microsoft learnt a lot of lessons and beefed up security. Do you think modding a 360 will ever be as easy as the original xbox?
