    Default Pokemon Emerald (U) Trashman

I tried to run it in VBA, and it shows that its running but the emulator just shows white. I've tried googling for a working copy but the ones I found say that the internal battery has run dry and that time based events will no longer occur. I've never seen this message on a pokemon game before. And the GBA does not have an internal clock so I'm assuming its an issue with the ROM itself.

have you tried No$gba i think its called its a fairly decent gba/ds emulator if not try looking for the vba emulator that installs into the p.c some one has made it so it installs and it seems fine on my p.c except for the save errors but using save states is just easier if u remember to do it often enough. You might need to clean all your junk files with ccleaner or something like that before you do and registry clean thats all i can think of. hope u sort it soon

There is a fix for this.
Go to options >Emulator> Real Time Clock.
The only things affected are berries growing and tides.

Its not an issue with the ROM, actually it means that the ROM is correct. There is no battery.
There is a battery in the original cartridge and has always been this way since the NES and up through the GBA. On the GBA, the battery no longer keeps the save file there (I think) but instead keeps the clock counting. It was a very bad idea really. In silver and gold, the battery keeps both the save file saved and the clock counting, so the battery died much quicker. It just so happens that my Pkmn Red and blue still save properly, but my silver gold do not...THats is because red and blue do not have an in-game clock.

Just a little tidbit for ya. Listen to Nemesis for the setting change.

Well, that explains why my Silver lost it's save (fucking loved that save, too), and my Red/Blue/Yellow all still work.
