    im sure it has to do with Trolls being reported, oh well , no big loss, always have tinychat

    Personally I'm glad it's gone, it really slowed the forum, and anything else I happen to have running, down.

    Lol, kinda good news... I spent a lot of time chatting at work instead of working...
    Darn username I in 2008... Stuck with it until Sony decides to allow us to change usernames...

    Perhaps. To be honest though, it (chat, not a new poll) just seems like more trouble than it's worth. And I still rather not force the other staffers to do even more work, as they would in order to moderate the chat (although that in itself could pose a problem. I won't go into details, but the others likely know what I mean.), and if you combine that with all the other negatives (even if you don't, actually), I still think they outweigh the fewer positives.

    Wasn't there an IRC channel a couple years back? On FreeNode? If not, we should at least get an IRC server...

    I've Firefox and fairly plentiful system resources, so I never really noticed the chat's burden until I'd run some emulator or some graphics intensive game with this open...
