Default Xbox 360 Controller For Gamecube

I have an xbox 360 controller that I would like to use for my game cube emulation. I read an old thread that discussed how to set up the game(Windwaker), and I am using dolphin 2.0. I have an xbox 360 controller with the charger cord connected to my pc(vista). And I was wondering if I could use this to play the game? Does anyone know how I could do this or set it up? And ideas would be great.

    Nope you either need

A wireless dongle for your PC to read the wireless controller (the charger cord is just that, it only charges the pad, it does not recognise button presses)
    or
    Buy a wired 360 controller

There are also all sorts of converters for PS2 pads aswell

So if I got a wired controller, would I need any other software to use it to play?

None is required but for you to utilise the shock/vibrate you need an extra driver just for that

It's definitely worth it, I use a wireless 360 controller for Dolphin and it's fantastic.

You could pick up a third party wired controller for pretty cheap these days.

So Im going to borrow the controller from a friend, and when I was reading in the same general information thread, he posted the data for the controller when I have it connected. I placed this into User-Config-GCPadNew, I am using dolphin btw.
    [GCPad1]
    Device = XInput/0/Gamepad
    Buttons/A = Button A
    Buttons/B = Button X
    Buttons/X = Button B
    Buttons/Y = Button Y
    Buttons/Z = Shoulder R
    Buttons/Start = Start
    Main Stick/Dead Zone = 8.000000
    Main Stick/Up = Left Y+
    Main Stick/Down = Left Y-
    Main Stick/Left = Left X-
    Main Stick/Right = Left X+
    Main Stick/Modifier = LSHIFT
    Main Stick/Modifier/Range = 50.000000
    C-Stick/Dead Zone = 8.000000
    C-Stick/Up = Right Y+
    C-Stick/Down = Right Y-
    C-Stick/Left = Right X-
    C-Stick/Right = Right X+
    C-Stick/Modifier = LCONTROL
    C-Stick/Modifier/Range = 50.000000
    Triggers/L = Trigger L
    Triggers/R = Trigger R
    Rumble/Motor = Motor L|Motor R
    Rumble/Motor/Range = 500.000000
    D-Pad/Up = Pad N
    D-Pad/Down = Pad S
    D-Pad/Left = Pad W
    D-Pad/Right = Pad E
    [GCPad2]
    [GCPad3]
    [GCPad4]

Does that seem right? Im just curious because it seems to easy.
